Avoid the holiday unsubscribers |
---|
For many, the holidays are a time for reflection. Reflection of the year that went - and on the year that is to come. Many also see the end of the year as a natural time to do the things that they have been postponed during a busy year. For many, this includes cleaning up their inboxes by unsubscribing to the newsletters that no longer carry the same interest as they used to. And it can be worth keeping in mind when sending out emails around the time of holidays. Minimize unsubscribes To minimize the unsubscribe rate, ensure that you always add value to your readers. Don’t send emails just for the sake of it. Make sure that you add value by helping or educating your readers with quality content. Emails are also a great way to win back old customers if you continue to add value to them through the newsletter. It keeps you top-of-mind and reminds them of why they used to be customers. And that makes it easier to re-engage with them and win them back. You should send out emails as often as you have valuable content to share. As long as the content holds value, people will keep subscribing. And, the higher the frequency, the more top-of-mind you will be and you will avoid the holiday unsubscribers. Just as long as your content is of high quality. Struggling to come up with good content? We have written an article with 25 ideas for your newsletter. |
