🧪 $20 million from 3M settlement to fund outdoor projects in east metro. The money was set aside for enhancing water resources, wildlife habitat and outdoor recreational opportunities in the east metro. Seven years after the settlement, that funding is finally ready to be distributed.
🏔️ Alaskans say Trump can change the name of Denali but can't make people call it Mount McKinley. President Donald Trump has changed the name of Alaska's Denali back to Mount McKinley. It's a nod to President William McKinley, who was from Ohio and who never set foot in Alaska. Many Alaskans say they'll never stop calling the mountain Denali.
💥 Trump wants Jordan and Egypt to accept more refugees to 'just clean out' Gaza. President Donald Trump said Saturday he'd like to see Jordan, Egypt and other Arab nations increase the number of Palestinian refugees they are accepting to "just clean out" the war-torn area.
🥌 Curling national championships set to begin in Duluth, a hotspot for the game. The best curlers in the country are coming to Minnesota for the 2025 USA Curling Men’s and Women’s National Championships, which will be held in Duluth from Jan. 27 through Feb. 2.
