WEATHER

🌧️ Rain will continue across most of Minnesota into early Tuesday, then taper off from south to north during the day. The bulk of the rain will end in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota by around midday Tuesday.
❄️ The drop in temperatures combined with the precipitation moving north will result in a gradual change over from rain to snow starting in northwest Minnesota Tuesday afternoon and statewide by Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Faith leaders in Minnesota are trying to build bridges at a time of intense political polarization. A group of them convened recently at the Minnesota Multifaith Network annual conference at the Hindu Temple in Maple Grove to share ideas.

Indigenous journalists are calling on news organizations to more accurately report on Indigenous people after some reported that almost two-thirds of Native Americans voted for Donald Trump in the recent election.

🏛️ Opening statements delivered in federal human smuggling trial in northern Minnesota. The organizers charged people who wanted to come to the U.S. tens of thousands of dollars. Using fake student visas, they would get the people into Canada, then take them to the U.S. border and have them walk across.
📱 FBI recovers deleted texts showing chaos of bribe attempt in Feeding our Future trial. In a new filing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson writes that defendant Mukhtar Shariff “knew about the bribery attempt” and deleted the encrypted messaging app Signal from his phone.
🎒 From Sahan Journal: 'We were already struggling.’ Several Somali mothers say they were duped into paying for poor tutoring services. They say they were unknowingly signed up to pay for thousands of dollars in tutoring services through their state tax refunds.
📿 Teenage Buddhist lama celebrates last birthday in the U.S. before joining monastery in the Himalayas. A U.S.-born Buddhist lama celebrated his 18th birthday with an elaborate enthronement ceremony. It’s his last big party before he joins a monastery in the Himalayan foothills — thousands of miles from his home in suburban Minneapolis.
🏒 PWHL releases neutral-site schedule with games ranging from North Carolina to the Pacific Northwest. The PWHL is taking women’s pro hockey to places from Raleigh, North Carolina, to the Pacific Northwest in releasing its nine-date schedule of neutral site games.
