| 🌨️ Flurries and light snow showers will diminish Monday morning from the first clipper of the week. Highs Monday will range from the mid-20s in central Minnesota to the teens in the northwest. ❄️ Another clipper system will bring more snow showers to the northern half of Minnesota Tuesday. | | After years of delays, revived taconite mine offers new economic hope on Minnesota's Iron Range | Mesabi Metallics — a controversial project that’s been in the works for more than two decades and could be the first new taconite mine in Minnesota in nearly 50 years — is once again bringing hopes of economic revival to the Iron Range. Mining companies have eyed the iron ore deposits at the Mesabi site for decades, in an area called the Butler Corridor between Nashwauk and Calumet, where Mesabi Metallics CEO Larry Sutherland estimates there’s 2 billion tons of crude ore still underground. | |

The VHA said it’s sending letters to everyone affected. 🏈 Minnesota Vikings win 5th straight game. The Vikings rallied from 13 points down to beat the Arizona Cardinals 23-22 on Sunday for their fifth straight victory. 📸 Photos: 44th annual Hmong New Year festival in St. Paul draws thousands. Minnesota is home to one of the largest communities of Hmong people in the country, at more than 94,000, and St. Paul’s Hmong New Year celebration is one of the biggest Hmong events in the U.S. 🚨 Deaths from ATV crashes in Minnesota surged in 2024. As of Nov. 5, 30 people have died in ATV crashes on Minnesota roads, ditches and trails in 2024. That number surpasses a previous high of 27 people killed in 2020 🏒 Minnesota Frost fall to New York Sirens in PWHL season opener. Minnesota's Grace Zumwinkle scored just 21 seconds into the game — the fastest goal in PWHL history — but the Frost lost to New York in OT. 🏀 Minnesota Lynx add Lindsay Whalen and Eric Thibault to staff. Thibault, who was let go by the Mystics last month, will fill the role of associate head coach. Whalen, who will serve as an assistant coach, helped lead the Lynx to four WNBA championships between 2011 and 2017. |
