Proposal would add 42 workforce housing units in Mount Pleasant

A proposal passed by the Mount Pleasant Planning Commission in December would amend the Gregorie Ferry Landing planned development to permit the construction of 42 workforce housing units. Town Council would still need to consider the plan before it can be implemented.

Charleston County administrator to retire

Jennifer Miller will retire Tuesday after 34 years of public service. Miller began her career as an intern in the Charleston County Human Resources Department in 1986 while pursuing a master’s degree in public administration; she has served as county administrator since 2017.

Lee & Associates Charleston names new president

Wade Allen, a 35-year veteran of the real estate industry, has been named president of the Lee & Associates Charleston office. Allen comes to Lee & Associates from CBRE, where he served as senior managing director. He also previously served as the head of corporate real estate for The Coca-Cola Co. in Atlanta.
