Here is the latest round up all of our latest planning news since last week's newsletter.

A Bamber Bridge bar could be allowed later opening hours after a compromise with the local council - following talks with planning officers, the bar has scaled back its request to 1am closing. 

A council’s Jubilee project to build a £10m block of apartments close to its headquarters looks set to get the thumbs up despite being branded a "monstrosity." This is what locals think.

A giant phone mast is to be built in the grounds of a village hall to improve wi-fi reception for passengers on trains thundering past. Travellers using mobiles and laptops on the West Coast mainline between Preston and Scotland have been suffering a breakdown in reception near to Barton due to a "gap" in the 4G network. 

Finally, Morecambe’s MP David Morris, says he is confident the town’s Eden Project funding bid will be successful despite changes in Government.
