| | | As springtime makes its timid appearance on the horizon, Agora Gallery is pleased to announce Vernal Passages, an exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and photographs ushering in the first breaths of the season. The exhibition is on view until April 21. In honor of Earth Day, we turn the spotlight on sustainable art. Socially Conscious Art: A Making Statement about the Environment explores ways to make an artist’s practice more environmentally friendly, while making a statement on pressing ecological issues. On our Instagram page each week we will run a takeover for an artist we represent who celebrates nature. The artists featured will be Katja van den Bogaert, István Jenő Kovács, Radhika Bianchi, and Madoka Naito, starting Friday, April 8. |

Several industries have adopted eco-friendly practices from paperless offices to reusable grocery bags. Therefore, ‘going green’ in the art world doesn’t necessarily mean using a verdant palate. Whether abstract or explicit in content, these artists are examining ecology and environment to inspire thoughtful action when it comes to the fragile state of our planet. |
