Most folks have heard about that app Noom, right? Well, there’s a cool guy who goes by the name of Barry Wright working for them here in Baltimore. It’s his second role at a major tech company outside of the city. He’s no stranger to the site, and we think you’ll see that throughout the interview with him we published today.

Also in our coverage today, you’ll see that the Moore-Miller administration introduced some changes and a new executive order to bring Maryland into an era of AI. It looks like the executive branch hopes to do this with fairness and equity in mind.

You’ll also see (yeah, it was a busy day!) yet another article about a new partnership between 2022 RealLIST Startup Astek Diagnostics and the research arm of MedStar Health. The collaboration includes some new research space for Astek in Hyattsville, among other supports to further the company’s diagnostic innovations for urinary tract infections.

• Interrobang Productions, a theatre company based in Baltimore, will be presenting 12 performances of "I Will Eat You Alive," a play by Katie Hileman, with a premiere at The Voxel on Jan. 25.
