More employers honor Juneteenth as paid holiday

Best Buy, the Hartford and National Grid are among a growing number of employers officially honoring Juneteenth as a paid company holiday -- a move that will likely increase now that the day is officially a federal holiday. "Recognizing Juneteenth as a paid holiday is simply the right thing to do and signifies a degree of reckoning with America's history that is long overdue," says Rosa Nunez, director of diversity, equity and inclusion at law firm Foley Hoag.

Internalized capitalism can cause burnout, depression

Licensed clinical social worker Nikita Banks said she's seen many clients who struggle with internalized capitalism -- the feeling that you're never doing enough -- and it can lead to burnout and depression. Banks said the feeling is nearly impossible to escape and that because of internalized capitalism, people never give themselves time to rest or even grace for their accomplishments.
