More on Topgolf in Lafayette: Work has begun, and it expects to open by year's end

by Adam Daigle | Acadiana business editor

Good morning, Acadiana business news readers. Let's get down to the business news of the day.

More on Topgolf as news filtered out yesterday: Ground has been broken on the project, and the company says it could be open for business by the end of the year. It will also employ about 200 full- and part-time employees.

But there's more development news in this story. The property 27.5 acres a stone's throw away has been sold to a Tennessee company that deals mostly with commercial development. It's unknown what will be built at that site, but there's a good chance there are more businesses planning to open along that corridor of Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

You can read the full story here.

Have a great day.
