Survey shows Gen Z workers are saving for retirement Generation Z workers face some of the same financial challenges, such as student loan debt, as other worker generations but are more likely have a defined contribution plan as their only retirement savings vehicle, making saving early even more important, said Edward Gottfried of Betterment for Business. A survey by Betterment for Business found 88% of Gen Z workers are saving at least some money monthly, including into their retirement plans, and 73% contribute at least 3% to their retirement savings.
