The State and Commonwealth Governments announced the following extra support measures to assist small and medium businesses affected by the extension to the State Government mandated lockdown in Melbourne. Business Costs Assistance Program will provide automatic payments of $2,800 to successful recipients of the previous Business Assistance Program payments. Small Business COVID Hardship Fund will provide grants of $10,000 to small and medium sized businesses that have been ineligible for business support programs and have experienced a reduction in revenue of at least 70 per cent. Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund will provide automatic payments of up to $20,000 to support licensed venues as their operations continue to be impacted by current restrictions. COVID-19 Disaster Payments will support eligible workers who lose hours due to the lockdown and sole-trader businesses who lose work and do not qualify for Victorian Government support programs. The COVID-19 Disaster Payment payments will be administered through Services Australia.
