Movember
More Than Mustaches: Using Cloud to Grow Men’s Health Research
Nearly 1.3 million men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year. The Movember Foundation is fighting to keep more of these men alive by funding research. A critical activity is encouraging participants to host local events—such as the just-completed month of mustache growing—to raise money and build awareness. Having upgraded to Oracle Eloqua, Movember’s marketers can now tailor messages to, say, hockey fans in Canada “in a few clicks,” says Movember’s Paige McCallum. Watch the video.
Vibrant Brand
How to Build a Vibrant Brand
To earn customer loyalty, marketers must engage buyers in creative, authentic, and even subtle ways, says Oracle’s Steve Olenski. Samsung opened a flagship store that sold no products, and brands such as TOMS Shoes and Warby Parker distinguish themselves with each buying experience. Technology provides another way to build relationships—helping brands respond to questions and complaints and even provide helpful hints and entertainment.
Budget Control
Cloud Gives Universities a Master Class in Budget Control
Until recently California State Los Angeles’ budget office had to manually consolidate information on spreadsheets from 60 departments, making analysis tedious and difficult. Since moving to Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud, it can easily view budgets at the department, division, campus, and university levels. See what’s happening at another California university, San Francisco State.
