How to get to 'Sesame Street'? For Bob, it was by way of the University of Michigan. |
I LOVE "Sesame Street." And not just when I was a kid. I will totally look up clips of the show on YouTube and get lost in the "Ladybugs' Picnic" or get mesmerized for the umpteenth time by those pigs who have "A New Way to Walk." It's such a fun, wholesome trip down memory lane.
If you watched a lot of Sesame Street as a child (or as the guardian of a child), you probably know of friendly neighbor Bob Johnson, whose real name was Bob McGrath. He died recently at the age of 90. While reading and reminiscing about Bob, I found out he attended the University of Michigan. You can read more about Bob here.
And while we are getting nostalgic and talking about U of M, here's a fun list of Ann Arbor student hangouts that are gone but not forgotten. |
