UAW practice pickets Stellantis headquarters as rolling strike on Big 3 continue |
The United Auto Workers filled the sidewalk Wednesday across from the entrance to Stellantis headquarters for a "practice picket" as a strike on Detroit’s Big Three automakers continues, following the expiration of the union contract on Sept. 14. Drive slow: We rounded up some of the major construction-related closures scheduled for or near this weekend across the state. Furry friends: Five puppies learning to be assistance dogs had a howling good time during a training exercise at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. |

Weekend weather: Even though afternoons are going to warm into the 70s this weekend, the mornings will still require a light jacket. The weekend forecast of rain areas shows no rain anywhere in Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula.
