Reflecting on a Michigan rite of passage |
There is no image more linked to the Michigander identity than the Mackinac Bridge. In May, I finally drove across her for the first time... and we filmed it. There were some mixed emotions as I went over that 5-mile stretch. Afterwards, I gathered my thoughts and wrote about the journey. But to summarize, it was an amazingly beautiful experience. Although my palms were a little sweaty from the nerves, I'm so glad I could cross off an item on my Michigan bucket list and I'm beyond grateful we were able to document it all. |
