During a presidential election year, politics are top of mind. Of course, this year has been different, since primaries in some states have been pushed back and the national news is filled with coronavirus headlines instead of campaign stops and platform discussions. That doesn't mean politics has left the national stage, though. It seems to have seeped into the response to COVID-19, as President Donald Trump and Democratic governors in several states butt heads. That's definitely part of the story here in Michigan. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Trump have publicly disagreed about how to handle the crisis.
