It looks promising for 8 million Michiganders

Saying goodbye to a Michigan icon |
Dorothy Zehnder, beloved matriarch of the Bavarian Inn and a longtime face of Michigan’s Little Bavaria, died with family by her side at her Frankenmuth home. Some of our favorite memories with Dorothy include when she shared how much she loved working at the Bavarian Inn and its related businesses, even after 70 years. Also, we felt pretty special when she opened up her kitchen to us and demonstrated how to make their noodles.
Last December, she celebrated her 101st birthday with family and friends. Thanks for everything, Dorothy. You will be missed. |

With Alex DeBrincat, Red Wings can at least think playoffs |
Score: The Red Wings landed two-time 41-goal scorer Alex DeBrincat from the Ottawa Senators on Sunday and signed him to a four-year extension with an average annual value of $7.875 million. Nice deal: Not only is it a team-friendly contract, but the trade didn’t cost the Red Wings any core pieces or prime prospects. Bringing hope: For the first time since their 25-year playoff streak was snapped in 2017, the Red Wings will head into a season with legitimate aspirations of getting back to the postseason. |
