There were several celebrities at Ford Field Sunday night as the Lions took down the Buccaneers, did you catch them all?

 

Of course, Eminem was there. He pumped up the crowd at just the right moment and sent out a perfect tweet after the win.

 

The victory had fans celebrating all over downtown Detroit and now no one is laughing at Dan Campbell’s Lions anymore. However, we may be laughing with this fan who was spotted in the stands with a 3-foot-tall sandwich. Yes, he ate it all.

Michigan marijuana sales surpass $3 billion in 2023, but face possible slowdown

The Michigan marijuana industry reached a new milestone in 2023: $3 billion in total sales. Despite 30% growth over the the $2.3 billion sold in 2022, insiders believe the market is increasingly saturated and headed for a slowdown in the upcoming year. 

 

Quote: “I believe we’ll probably do better in 2024, but I don’t think there is going to be a significant amount of growth, but enough to be noticeable,” said Harry Barash, Founder of MiCannaPros, a 9,000-member marijuana industry Facebook page, and Meet. Connect. Puff., a networking business. “I just feel like the market is getting pretty close to being capped out.”

Michigan State Police trooper pleads to beating handcuffed man, agrees to stop being cop

Almost two years ago, a Michigan State Police trooper was criminally charged after being captured on video repeatedly punching a handcuffed man on a Saginaw Street. The ex-trooper has now accepted a plea deal, one that will preclude him from serving as a police officer in the state.

 

In Grand Rapids: A man who was shot by police after allegedly charging officers with a box cutter has been charged with felonious assault. The two officers who shot the man have been cleared of criminal charges.

 

Also in crime: A disturbing and heinous court case is expected to come to a close this week when a mother convicted of torturing her teen son to death is sentenced to prison. Here are three things to know.

Detroit Lions are big road underdogs against 49ers in NFC championship

The Detroit Lions are among four perennial contenders still playing for a chance at the Super Bowl, and oddsmakers are treating them like the new kids on the block. Caesars Sportsbook and the usual suspects have the Lions as seven-point underdogs for next weekend’s NFC title game.
