What does the weather look like this week? |
The southern half of Lower Michigan will be on the warm side of a storm system. There's a big soaker ahead for Northern Michigan with up to 4 inches of rain. How warm could the south get? Well, they could be putting shorts on this afternoon, Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon. A batch of thunderstorms will likely form over part of Michigan today. These storms could be strong enough to produce isolated severe weather. |

New laws require Michigan schools, daycares to filter water for lead |
On Thursday, Oct. 19, Gov. The clock is ticking for Democrats to unveil transparency plan |
Counting up: The Michigan Constitution mandates the legislature this year to require financial disclosures for elected officials. But with Democrats still working on bills, Republicans fear a rushed and one-sided result. In Ann Arbor: Pro-Palestine demonstrators gathered outside the office of U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Ann Arbor, urging that she support the withdrawal of U.S military aid to Israel and a ceasefire in the region. Related: Former U.S. Rep. Justin Amash says “several” of his relatives were killed when an Israeli airstrike hit a Greek Orthodox church in Gaza. |
