Good afternoon,

It would appear that the festive season is upon us - it must be as the John Lewis advert is out - let us know what you think! Did you shed a tear?
Also in national news the Yorkshire Ripper has died after refusing treatment for Covid-19 - you can as always read all the latest news via the live blog.
Here in Lancashire our reporters are busy gleaning the latest from all our local communities.
In Penwortham a row over a 100-year-old hedge is causing ructions for Tesco at its new site.
And in Preston the mum of a teenager arrested for terror offences has spoken of her relief to our reporter James Holt - and thanked police. The 16-year-old was released without charge.
In Ribbleton a man was caught on camera performing a sex act after trying to break into a family home - much to family's horror.
Meanwhile hundreds of Preston residents have been involved in a city community cook-along to back local producers. It's fabulous to see everyone's  work to Support Local!
Have a lovely Friday and weekend.
Kind regards, Nicola Adam | Deputy Editor
