Musk cuts target Louisiana grants: The Environmental Protection Agency is eliminating grants for air quality monitoring, disaster response and environmental education that will amount to $70 million less funding for Louisiana government agencies and nonprofits. Josie Abugov has the story.

Coroner employee fired: The Orleans Parish Coroner's office responded Friday to video that surfaced the night before showing an employee dragging the bagged body of a 65-year-old homicide victim down the front steps of the man's Bywater home. We have the details here.
