The two storms which have ripped through the country this week, one after another, have left pockets of the UK completely battered and changed some lives forever.
For the most part, Lancashire has not seen the worst of these natural phenomena...Scotland and the South of the country being worst hit by the 90mph winds which have come in from the Atlantic.
And it is still only February.
Many folks will remember worse storms hitting in March and given the forecast for this weekend, who’s to say that we are through the worst of it.
The Prime Minister has pledged cash and other support for those who have really felt the brunt of Storm Eunice - and watching some of the pictures from the South West and Wales, that help will be badly needed when the clean-up work can actually start.
