NBA sabbatical program aims to boost retention More than 100 employees have taken advantage of the NBA's sabbatical program, which launched in 2015. The program, designed to increase engagement and retention, lets individuals who have spent 10 years with the league take four paid weeks off -- those with 20 years get eight weeks -- in addition to their annual paid vacation.
