Hi John, National Broadband Network operator NBNCo has launched new higher speed Internet plans in response to what it says has been strong demand for higher speed services from new customers. The plans include a new “close to” 1Gbps service.
Coles has partnered with flybuys to launch flypay, as a new way for customers to “seamlessly pay” for purchases and collect flybuys points when shopping online at selected retailers. Global content delivery network Akamai has launched Page Integrity Manager, an edge service that can be embedded into Web pages to protect against JavaScript threats such as Web skimming, formjacking and Magecart attacks. Global networking company Cisco has acquired the private firm ThousandEyes which monitors network outages for an undisclosed sum. Australian logistics and transport firm Toll Group says that a ransomware group that attacked the company recently has accessed files on a corporate server that included employees' information such as names, residential addresses, age or date of birth and payroll information. The ransomware that hit Australian money management firm MyBudget appears to be Mespinoza/Pysa, with the people behind the incident warning that documents from the company would soon be put up on its website, security sources have told iTWire.
