| | | | | As the war in Gaza continues, I find myself looking for the light at the end of the tunnel: Who can save Israel from itself? And how can we, in the interim, do our best for civilians in Gaza? Over the last week, much of Europe has finally drawn a line in the sand against Israeli actions in Gaza. Here's one argument on why this might be a poor strategy. From within Israel, opposition also continues, even if some see this criticism as empty and problematic. But still, with what seems like few ways out, all options should be considered, even if counterintuitive. And still, we must be careful what partnerships we forge and strategies we use in an effort to bring an end to the war. There are many whose motivations are deeply problematic and other actors who will never truly be Israel's friends. | |
