Hello everyone, 👋 I celebrated Canada Day with family and friends this Monday, and am looking forward to a summer full of excitement. 🎉 Let’s take a few moments to catch up on all the amazing things that we’ve been up to here at 1Password over the last few months! 🌈 🏀 🌞 A new office in St Thomas, Ontario Whenever you write in to us here at 1Password, we want you to feel heard, helped, and happier when talking to us. Dave and I moved back to his hometown before 1Password was born, and as our family has grown, so has the company. We want to make sure we provide the support experience you’ve come to expect over the years, so we opened a new office here to focus on our commitment to you, our customers. 1Password for Mac 1Password 7.3 for Mac was released a month ago, and it’s jam-packed with new features, including (spoiler alert) a redesigned mini! You can check out Michael’s announcement post for more details. New security access-ories You can now use U2F-compatible security keys as a second factor for your 1Password account. Jasper’s blog post on U2F support explains what it is, why it’s important, and how you can get started. 🙂 1Password X 1Password X, our newest browser extension, received a pretty special update last month, and it’s faster and more awesome than ever! We’ve freshened up the pop-up with a new design, added support for drag and drop, and given you the option to open the pop-up in its own window. You can find out more on the blog, where Dave gives more details. Memorable guests Random but Memorable, our very own Podcast, has welcomed some amazing guests! Security technologist Bruce Schneier came to discuss surveillance capitalism and internet security policies - you can read a transcript of Bruce’s interview here. Scott Helme, security researcher and founder of the website analysis tool Security Headers, joined Matt and Michael to talk content security policies and VPNs. You can catch up on previous episodes of Random but Memorable here. 🎙 WWDC excitement I was super excited to be at WWDC (Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference) this year, with several of our team members. The keynote was amazing, and we’ve already had blog posts on Dark Mode and Voice Control. Dave, Roustem and I had the joy of running into a group of WWDC Scholarship winners when they came over to ask if we were with 1Passsword (our shirts gave us away!). We had a blast talking to them, and if their excitement and enthusiasm are any indication of what the future might hold for us all, we’re in for an amazing ride! Congratulations to all of the young people out there, who continue to push us all forward and make better apps. 🙂 It’s always nice to talk with you all, and if there is anything we can help with, please reach out to us through @1Password on Twitter, through our forums or our Support site. |
