New Asylum Regulation Proposed By Carl Shusterman
On June 15, 2020, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice proposed a 161-page regulation that would greatly restrict our country's asylum system. There is a 30-day period for the public to comment on the proposed rule. The government states the proposed rule will "more effectively separate baseless claims from meritorious ones. This would better ensure groundless claims do not delay or divert resources from deserving claims."
