What's New at SitePoint This Week?

An apple a day... keeps you watching TV? 🍎📺

So this week has been an interesting one in the SitePoint office. Like most of you, no doubt, we were awaiting Apple's 2019 showcase, where they would unveil to the world things like the new Apple Card, Apple Arcade and the hotly touted Apple TV+.

We know the latter has been in the news a lot, rife with speculation on what it would mean for streaming and entertainment, ahead of the March 25th announcement. But weirdly enough it was the Apple Card that sparked the most debate in our office, between the believers, who believe Apple's famous focus on privacy and security is a good thing for the industry, versus the doubters, who think it offers little more than a pretty piece of titanium.🤷🏻‍♀️If you have a hot take to help us settle this debate, hit us up on our Facebook or Twitter.

But in amongst the debating, we did do some work. Let us show you what else we got up to...

Hey Look! It's Our New Library Interface!

We launched our new look library on SitePoint Premium. The new cleaner, faster library interface makes tracking and resuming your current books much quicker.

New Blog Posts!

Here are 10 Must-have VS Code Extensions for JavaScript Developers. It pretty much does as it says on the packet.

Regular SitePoint contributor Michael Wanyoike introduced us to the new React hooks, explaining how they're used and how you can build your own.
