Question of the Week
Tuesday we asked: A survey from consultancy group Calling Brands found that a sense of purpose is second only to compensation in terms of what's most important to employees. Another study by Net Impact found that nearly half of the workforce would be willing to take a 15 percent pay cut to work for an organization with an inspiring purpose.
Would you be willing to work for less for a company that has an inspiring purpose?
  • Organizations should build strong teams by offering salaries at the current market rate. Regardless of purpose successful companies reward shareholders. High performing employees should expect the same benefit.
  • Millenials. Retirees.
  • Inspiration and salary are relative. Make your purpose for working inspirational and you can work anywhere. But, be aware of the value you bring to a company and demand an equivalent income!
