Film at the Harvard Art MuseumsTogether, Alone: Indigenous Film Now, our film series inspired by the Everywhen exhibition, continues this month with screenings of Samson and Delilah (2009), Toomelah (2011), and Another Country (2015). On the first weekend in April, the museums will screen the winning films in this year’s Harvard College Film Festival, as well as host a Q&A with television creator and executive producer David Simon. Also, Judith Wechsler’s Aby Warburg: Metamorphosis and Memory (2016) will be screened on April 6. Check the calendar for details on all the screenings. | |
Art Study CenterSeminars this month feature Roman wall painting and Spanish and Neapolitan art; registration required. In addition, on Mondays from 1 to 4pm, the Art Study Center welcomes walk-ins. During these open hours, visitors may request works from the collections not currently on view. Works related to exhibitions, programs, and curatorial and conservation research may also be featured. | |

ARTS FIRST at the Harvard Art MuseumsSaturday, April 30 As part of the ARTS FIRST Festival, organized by the Office for the Arts at Harvard, the Harvard Art Museums will host a variety of events, including an afternoon of musical performances in both the courtyard and Adolphus Busch Hall, and a student guide tour that coincides with the festival. In celebration of the festival, admission to the museums is free for all visitors on Saturday | |
