| Feb. 15, 2022 A special court panel ordered new political district boundaries Tuesday that Minnesota will use for the next 10 years. The new maps make many changes to legislative districts, leaving numerous state lawmakers paired in districts with other incumbents. But University of Minnesota political science professor Kathryn Pearson says the new lines do little to reshape the competitiveness of Minnesota's eight congressional districts. "No current incumbents at the congressional level, the federal level were put in new districts and the vote share between the parties did not change that much," Pearson said.
