When work got underway on the new Sanctuary at Tiger Bend development, an archaeologist discovered an "Indian mound" that's 600 to 800 years old. It's now going to be a preserved historical landmark for the area.

More disciplinary fights in BRPD

Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul is in another conflict with one of his officers. He's demoting a veteran sergeant to corporal, saying he was involved in an incident in which officers accidentally showed up to the wrong house and roughly handcuffed a pregnant woman.

But the officer claims the discipline is retaliation for his criticism of Chief Paul, and he's appealed the decision to the public service board. You can read about both sides' arguments here.
