Good morning and thanks for joining us. Here are some of today's top headlines. Road hazards: The day after 10 inches of fluffy white snow blanketed the metro area, local agencies, businesses and residents scrambled to dig out and make the most of a few hours above freezing. Some still played, of course, but much of the action was focused on preparing for a second night of freezing temperatures and getting a jump on today. Roads closed: The streets were nowhere near as empty as they were Tuesday as people came out to explore, but the vast majority of businesses stayed closed and major roadways were still shut down. There was a hint as to when key portions of I-10 will reopen. Thanks for reading. Check back throughout the day for more news, entertainment and sports from The Times-Picayune. Chad |
