CSI Easter is a new resource written to help churches engage with local schools at KS2 level.
This course is ideal for medium and larger churches since it requires a team to run but once set up, can be repeated as many times as you have the capacity to offer it! The church is set up as a crime scene and a KS2 class will visit during Lent. Children learn about the events of Good Friday though investigation, scientific experimentation, code breaking finger printing and evidence packs. It is ideally suited to year groups 4 and 5.
Jude Barber, former teacher, Children’s pastor and author of the resource will explain how to use this resource to reach out effectively to your local primary school(s). St Mary’s Ely will be using it for the first time this year and you will be able to see just what is involved if you would like to use the resource NEXT Easter(2019). The resource is offered very cheaply; everything required is on a memory stick charged at £10, cash only on the evening. Once you have purchased the equipment needed to offer the session, you will simply need to replenish the consumable resources.
This resource offers a BRILLIANT way to engage with local schools so please do make the most of this opportunity if you can.
