I am writing on the off-chance that you have a free day on 19th August as we still have a few places left on our ‘Effective Church Administration’ course. We have run this course a few times now and every time we receive rave reviews about its value and the amount that can be learnt from its tutor, Andy Bagwell. In the past the course has been attended by Incumbents, Parish Administrators, Church Secretaries and everyone has gained something from the day. The training applies to small as well as larger churches. We are very lucky to have Andy Bagwell as the tutor, Andy is currently Director of Operations at St Saviour’s Church, Guildford, but has previously worked in Church Management and Administration for over 12 years, so is a very experience church administrator. Topics will include: The Church Administration Year : A 12-month look at the administration life of a church Using data effectively: How to get it, how to store it, how to use it Communication Top tips At the end of the day, every candidate is given a resource pack which is a useful aide memoire and he also suggests websites which can be useful sources of information. The day will begin at 9.00am and finish by 4.00pm in the lounge of Bishop Woodford Retreat House (Plenty of parking available), lunch is provided. There is no charge for this day. If you are free and would like to attend, please email Jennie on: Ministry.bookings@elydiocese.org to book your place. Let Jennie know if you have any dietary requirements as these can be catered for.
