The deadline for this year’s Goodliff Awards from the Huntingdonshire Local History Society is the end of March – so there’s just a nice time to get an application together towards the cost of a brochure or display in your church explaining its history and meaning. Grants are for up to 60% of the cost and can be in excess of £5000. If you don’t have a decent text to hand or need help to put the display together the grant can go towards these as well as the actual publication costs. And if you don’t have an expert to do the digging around and writing perhaps your local history group does – or we have had offers in the past from members of the university to help.
