[New post] Mordiford, Holy Rood

Holy Rood Church, Mordiford is beautifully set on the banks of the Lugg (downbeat name for an attractive river) and is part of a good cluster of bridge, church, school and old rectory. Sadly it was locked but we admired the picturesque and unusually set porch, and the Romanesque south doorway. More details as usual at https://www.crsbi.ac.uk/site/975/ - but they show a charming photo of what I think is Crowland Abbey instead of Mordiford, for some unknown reason.
