[New post] Praying for the church

It’s great being a bishop: you get prayed for ALL the time. By tradition every eucharist will include a prayer for Stephen and myself. I really feel it, especially at the times when I am in Hot Seat.

Our diocesan prayer calendar had a makeover a wee while ago, under the watchful eye of Rob Taylor, and now it gives you what you need to extend that prayer – to the ministers and people of our local churches, to other churches worldwide, and importantly with a prayer topic about the everyday “ministry” all Christian people have just in getting on with their lives in a good Christian way. You’ll find prayers for each day on the home page of our website at www.elydiocese.org or dig deeper here for a downloadable quarterly booklet that would be good to keep in church and/or give to whoever is leading your intercessions on Sunday, as well as for personal use.
