Now with four restaurants in the Lafayette area, Ruben Chavez and some investors have bought property in the business park just north of Interstate 10 in Scott. They will build a restaurant, he said, that will specialize in either Mexican food or seafood. Chavez is the guy who made an initial effort to move into the old Hooters space.
