CAM launches a new series of virtual classes on our website today! From a Photo Journal class, to virtual summer camps for kids, to writing as a healing art, there's plenty to explore. Art & Social Justice Stephen Hayes and the USCT Public Sculpture Project

Join us for our first conversation in the Art and Social Justice Series. Deputy Director Heather Wilson talks with Stephen Hayes, the Durham-based artist who is creating the United States Colored Troops Public Sculpture at CAM. They will be joined by a USCT re-enactor and a USCT descendant whose features were cast for the project. Durham-born artist Stephen Hayes is the the Brock Family Visiting Instructor in Studio Arts in the Department of Art, Art History, and Visual Studies at Duke University.

Conversations Audrey Flack

Join us via Zoom for a conversation with internationally recognized artist Audrey Flack, whose work Medea is featured in CAM's upcoming exhibition, She Persists. Audrey Flack is a painter and sculptor and a pioneer of photorealism, She is the first woman artist, along with Mary Cassatt, to be included in Janson's History of Art text.
