Lustre for Life We have had a new delivery of pieces from the studio of Jonathan Chiswell Jones and, as ever, they are casting their spell. Jonathan Chiswell Jones works with Kerry Bosworth making and decorating fine pots by hand with a lustre produced by a reduction firing in a gas kiln. Lustreware decorated by Jonathan, is signed JCJ and each piece has a number. Number 1 was made in the first lustre firing at Peelings in 2001 and the series has now reached well over 8,000. Records of each pot are kept in the pottery and help to identify some of the variables which went into its making. Check out the latest stock of JCJ works here or, even better, come and see them for yourself. You need to see the dance of light across the lustre for yourself. |

Daddy Dearest Father's day is on Sunday 16th June, and we've got some really fantastic cards and gifts for the Old Man. Great prints, artisan chocolates, hand-thrown mugs and great art supplies (but sadly no soap-on-a-rope). Check out our Fathers Day suggestions here. Man in Shed card by The Printed Peanut, Zeus Jacket print by Bernard Lodge, Red Camera print by Sarah Gamble. |

Cut & Paste Rob Ryan headlines in our second edition of Cut & Paste - an exhibition which spotlights artists for whom paper is very much more than a blank background. Rob has gathered a huge following for his contemporary paper cuts, and we've got originals, prints and more here in the exhibition. Come and see his work for yourself. It's on display alongside pieces by Pippa Drylaga, Marion Elliot, Sarah Gamble, Clover Robin, Ruth Waters, and Sue Williams A'Court. We are open every day from 11am-5pm, and also 24-7 online. |

Arch Three Upgrade If you've visited us here at the gallery, you'll know that, whilst arch one and two have smart white walls, arch three has always retained its, ahem, 'rustic charm'. Well not anymore! By the time you read this, it too will have lined walls and a bright, white, lick of paint, transforming it into a super comfortable classroom and a stylish event space. If you'd like to lead a workshop, or are looking for an iconic space for a book launch or training day, we'd love to hear from you. Drop us a line to discuss your requirements. |
