New Jersey’s solar energy future is bright as the state hit a milestone in November by surpassing 100,000 solar projects installed. New Jersey is a national leader in solar power and Governor Phil Murphy’s clean energy agenda ensures continued success of the solar industry in New Jersey. New Jersey ranks in the nation’s top ten for home and business solar installations, largely achieved through a combination of net metering, a solar renewable portfolio standard, and a solar renewable energy credit (SREC) market. | |

Is your clothes dryer, clothes washer, or refrigerator on the fritz? Upgrade to an energy efficient model and reap the savings. The average American family washes almost 300 loads of laundry each year. ENERGY STAR qualified washers use on average 25% less energy and 40% less water than conventional models and costs on average $60 a year to run. ENERGY STAR certified clothes dryers use 20% less energy than conventional models without sacrificing features or performance. They do this by using innovative energy saving technologies, such as moisture sensors that detect when clothes are dry and automatically shut the dryer off. An estimated 170 million refrigerators and refrigerator/freezers are currently in use in the United States. More than 60 million refrigerators are over 10 years old, costing consumers $4.4 billion a year in energy costs.
