When chef Peter Cooke moved to Lafayette from Brooklyn two years ago, he wasn't immediately planning on opening a restaurant. Then, opportunity came knocking in the form of a lease on a building that already had history as a beloved neighborhood eatery. His brother-in-law mentioned how the former Saint Street Inn was empty and he should check it out.
