Nonprofits, startups and economic development agencies are bracing for more chaos after this week's panic.
Just two days after the announcement of an impending federal grant freeze, the White House Office of Management and Budget has rescinded the order. The back-and-forth signals an era of confusion and battles for organizations that rely on federal funding. For example, the Trump administration is still planning to cut all programs, projects and activities that don’t meet its criteria on “ending DEI, the green new deal and funding NGOs that undermine the national interest,” officials said.
