Oscars' best picture race to get a huge shake-up in 2024: Academy announces new diversity and inclusion standards

To score a best picture nomination at the Academy Awards, films will have to meet new standards which cover all aspects of how a film is made. The new rules from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences aim to increase representation in Hollywood, from actors to executives.
