President Trump pardons Steve Bannon, Lil Wayne among 73 people in one of the final acts of his presidency

President Donald Trump again used the traditional pardon process and his presidential authority to bring relief for a mix of beneficiaries, including his former strategist Bannon, awaiting trial on federal fraud charges, and rapper Lil Wayne, awaiting sentencing on a gun possession charge. He also commuted the sentences of 70 people, including Kwame Kilpatrick, the disgraced former Detroit mayor who is serving a 28-year federal prison sentence.
