New York Attorney General Letitia James announced Tuesday that a grand jury has chosen not to criminally charge Rochester police officers whose restraint of Daniel Prude may have caused his death. Prude was in the midst of a mental health episode when he suffocated last March as Rochester police restrained him. The case did not become public knowledge until September, setting off protests and calls for those in charge to resign. |
