The deadly coronavirus could cause ‘severe’ disruptions in the US, a CDC official warned Tuesday. Is it too late to stop the pandemic?

"Disruption to everyday life may be severe" and impact schools and jobs, said Nancy Messonnier, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's immunization chief. Other experts are also warning that avoiding a pandemic is “very unlikely” at this point.
