In the wake of alleged Hindu migration from Kairana in UP's Shamli district and the BJP's Dalit outreach programmes, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) said it would launch a campaign of “parakram“ (aggression) in place of “palayan“ (migration) by combating forces 'intimidating' the Hindu community.

HC asks CBI to share Rai's account with accused trio
The Bombay high court on Thursday directed special CBI court to provide a copy of the statement of driver Shyamvar Rai to all three co-accussed in the Sheena Bora murder case. The HC in its order said that as Rai had turned approver, his statement should be provided to other accused as legally provided under the criminal procedure code. Earlier the CBI court had denied a plea by co-accused Sanjeev Khanna in April for a copy, despite the chargesheet being filed on November 19, 2015. The CBI had filed the first chargesheet last year against prime accused Indrani Mukerjea, Khanna, her second husband, and her driver Rai. Peter, Indrani’s husband was arrested in the case on November 19.
